OnePlus has launched its latest flagship device, OnePlus 8T in India. The device is powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 which also powers other OnePlus 8 series devices. OnePlus said that it has revolutionised the way its users charge their smartphones with the 8T. The OnePlus 8T will get the support of Warp Charge 65, the fastest charging technology supported by any of the OnePlus devices in the world . Along with this, the OnePlus 8T is among the select few devices running on an operating system based on Android 11 out of the box. It was said that OnePlus has partnered with Snapchat and Bitmoji to launch Bitmoji AOD for the OxygenOS 11. Let's take a look at the specifications and price of the OnePlus 8T.

OnePlus 8T Specifications

OnePlus 8T comes with a 6.55-inch AMOLED  display with support for 120Hz refresh rate and 1100nits of maximum brightness. It also gets the support for HDR10+ and is the first smartphone in the world which comes with a 120Hz flat display. The display on the OnePlus 8T is said to have received A+ rating from DisplayMate.  The OnePlus 8T is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865. The top-tier variant has 12GB RAM paired with 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The smartphone also has the support for 5G connectivity.

The OnePlus 8T comes with a 285% larger vapor chamber than the other OnePlus devices. Thus, it will be able to keep your device cooler for longer. For a great sound experience, there are dual stereo speakers with the Dolby Atmos support. There is a 4500mAh battery inside which will get the support of Warp Charge 65. OnePlus has claimed that the Warp Charge 65 can charge the device up to 60% in quarter of an hour. For complete charging of the device, it will take only 39 minutes.

In the camera department, the OnePlus 8T gets a quad camera setup in the rear. The primary sensor is a 48MP lens which comes with optical image stabilisation support. The rear camera system also features a 16MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, 5MP macro sensor, and a monochrome sensor. For recording videos, there is added support of Video Nightscape mode to shoot better in low light conditions.

With the OxygenOS 11, the UI of the operating system is said to have been made cleaner and simpler. The OnePlus 8T features Group Zen Mode that enables users to switch off from the digital world together for a few minutes.

OnePlus 8T Price

The OnePlus 8T will be available to the users in two different colours — Aquamarine Green and Lunar Silver. OnePlus will be selling two variants of the device in India. The base variant will be 8GB RAM with 128GB storage priced at Rs 42,999 and the second variant featuring 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at Rs 45,999. The smartphone will be available for purchase in India from October 16, 12 AM exclusive to Amazon Prime members and OnePlus Red Cable members. The open sales of the device will start from October 17 through Amazon and the official website of OnePlus India.

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is set to revamp its existing Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) plans to offer enhanced speed and data limits to its users across India. The state-run operator currently offers over 50 broadband and FTTH plans in its North, South and West Zones while in its East zone, BSNL offers over 100 plans to its users. BSNL earlier in the month celebrated 20 years of its corporatization with the operator dedicating the entire month of October as Customer Delight Month. The state-run operator planned multiple activities including a scheme to offer 25% extra data on all its prepaid vouchers with over 30 days validity. Further, an internal release accessed by TelecomTalk highlighted that the operator is set to revise its existing FTTH in bid to retain existing users while also targeting new users.

BSNL to Offer Enhanced Download Speeds on Entry Tier, Mid Tier Plans

It has now emerged that the operator will offer up to 50 Mbps speed on all plans priced under Rs 500 per month including 100GB CUL and 200GB CUL plans. According to an internal list accessed by TelecomTalk, the operator currently offers four plans under Rs 500 in the North and South zone, 10 in the East zone and two in the West zone. The users subscribed to the plans priced under Rs 500 will all receive enhanced speed limits, however, the operator has not revised the data limits on these plans. The operator has also revised the speeds beyond the fair usage policy (FUP) limits to 2 Mbps on the plans priced under Rs 500 per month.

The users subscribed to the plans with monthly rental above Rs 500 to Rs 650 will now receive up to 100 Mbps speeds and up to 2 Mbps upon reaching the FUP limit. In the North zone, BSNL offers eight plans with monthly rentals between Rs 500 to Rs 650 while in the East zone, it offers four plans under the price point. Further, the operator in the South zone offers seven plans with monthly rental between Rs 500 to Rs 650 and five plans in the West zone at the same price point.

Similarly, the users subscribed to the plans priced above Rs 650 to Rs 799 will receive 100 Mbps download speed and up to 5 Mbps upon reaching the FUP limit. BSNL offers six plans in the North zone priced between Rs 651 to Rs 799 and eight plans in its East zone. In the South zone, the operator offers seven plans priced between Rs 651 to Rs 799 and six plans in its West zone.

BSNL will also revamp its FTTH plans with monthly rentals between Rs 800 to Rs 999 to offer up to 100 Mbps download speed and up to 10 Mbps post FUP speeds. The operator currently offers nine plans in the North Zone with monthly rentals between Rs 800 to Rs 999 and 12 plans in the East zone under the same price point. BSNL in its South zone offers seven plans priced between Rs 800 to Rs 999 and eight plans in the West zone at the same price point.

BSNL Users Subscribed to Top-Tier Plans will Also Receive Enhanced Data Limits

The users currently subscribed to BSNL FTTH plans priced between Rs 1000 to Rs 1499 will receive up to 200 Mbps download speed and enhanced data limits up to 3.3TB. Further, the users will also receive an enhanced speed limit of up to 15 Mbps upon reaching the FUP limit. BSNL currently offers 12 plans in the North zone with plan rentals between Rs 1000 to Rs 1499 and 17 plans in the East zone under the same price point. In the South zone, BSNL currently offers 13 plans priced between Rs 1000 to Rs 1499 and two plans in its West zone at the same price point.

BSNL FTTH plans priced above Rs 1499 will receive enhanced speed limits up to 200 Mbps and up to 20 Mbps post the consumption of FUP limits. Further, the plans priced above Rs 1499 will also receive enhanced data limits of 4TB. The operator in the North zone offers 18 FTTH plans priced above Rs 1499 and 42 plans in the East zone at the same price point. In the South Zone, BSNL offers 24 plans with monthly rentals above Rs 1499 and 28 plans in the West zone under the same price point.

It has to noted that the plans with the daily data limits will also be revised to offer enhanced monthly data limits such as “22GB CUL Bharat Fiber” plan priced at Rs 1299. The 22GB CUL Bharat Fiber plan currently enables users to browse up to 10 Mbps speed till 22GB per day with the operator capping the speeds to 2 Mbps upon reaching the limit. It is said that the users subscribed to the 22GB CUL Bharat Fiber plan will be able to browse up to 200 Mbps speed till 3.3 TB per month post the revamp.

However, the users subscribed to certain plans such as the “170GB Plan-Bharat Fiber” plan priced at Rs 16,999 will only be offered enhanced speed limits with no change to the FUP limits. It was said that the new plans will be officially announced in the upcoming days.

Samsung on Wednesday unveiled the Galaxy M31 Prime, a "special edition" smartphone said to be jointly developed by the company with Amazon India. The Galaxy M31 Prime edition smartphone is largely identical to the regular variant that the company launched in India in early February. However, the special edition smartphone is said to be bundled with select Amazon ecosystem apps to offer a "differentiated user experience" to its users. Further, the company said that the Galaxy M31 Prime edition users will also receive three months complimentary access to Amazon Prime membership.

Samsung Worked with Amazon to Add New Features on Galaxy M31

Sandeep Singh Arora, senior director at Samsung India said in a release that the Galaxy M31 has been one of the top sellers on Amazon India.

"For Galaxy M31 Prime, we worked closely with Amazon to add new features that enrich user experiences," Arora said. "Galaxy M31 Prime is a great example of Samsung's technology prowess and Amazon's suite of prime offerings designed to give consumers best of entertainment and shopping experiences."

Similar to the Galaxy M31, the special edition smartphone packs in a 6.4-inch Infiniti U sAMOLED display along with a 6000mAh battery. The quad camera system in the rear includes a 64MP primary camera coupled with an 8MP Ultra-Wide shooter along with a 5MP Macro Lens and 5MP depth lens. The device is powered by the Exynos 9611 processor with the company promising up to 26 hours battery life.

"With the new Galaxy M31 Prime, customers will see an enviable blend of technology and seamless integration with Amazon ecosystem apps," Noor Patel, director of category management at Amazon India, said in the release. "Customers can enjoy a complete range of Amazon Prime offerings including the best of entertainment, music, reading and shopping experience conveniently."

Samsung said that the users purchasing the Galaxy M31 Prime edition will be able to access the 'Always On' Amazon Shopping app. The company said that the Galaxy M31 Prime users will be able to receive updates on new shows and movies along with trending music on the lock screen. The Amazon apps said to be bundled into the Galaxy M31 Prime edition include the Amazon Shopping, Amazon Prime Video, Amazon Prime Music, Kindle and Audible.

Galaxy M31 Prime Edition to be Available in Three Colors

Samsung said that the Galaxy M31 Prime edition will be available in Ocean Blue, Space Black and new Iceberg Blue color. The Galaxy M31 Prime edition carries a price tag of Rs 16499 and will be available on Amazon India, Samsung ecommerce portal and select retail stores across India.

The company highlighted that the users purchasing the device on Amazon India using HDFC credit and debit cards during the Amazon Great Indian Festival will receive 10% instant cashback. The Great Indian Festival is scheduled to begin on October 17, 2020.

Act Fibernet, the third largest wired broadband service provider in India has revamped its broadband plans in seven cities including Hyderabad, Guntur, Eluru, Nellore, Vijayawada, Tirupati and Visakhapatnam. The operator with 1.69 million subscribers as on July 31, 2020 has been revamping its fibernet plans since late September. Bengaluru, Delhi, Chennai, Madurai and Coimbatore are the cities where ACT Fibernet has revamped its plans since late September. The operator in Visakhapatnam now offers enhanced data benefits while the users in other cities in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana receive both enhanced speeds and data limits.

ACT Fibernet Offers Enhanced Speed and Data Limits in Six Cities

The third largest wired broadband provider in India continues to offer six broadband plans in Hyderabad but now offers enhanced data and speed limits on its mid tier plans. The A-Max 1075 that earlier offered 100 Mbps speed and 1000GB (1TB) data now offers 125 Mbps speed and 2000GB (2TB) data for the same price of Rs 1075.

The A-Max 1325 priced at Rs 1325 earlier enabled users to browse at 150 Mbps speed up to 1250GB (1.25TB) data. The operator has now revamped its A-Max 1325 plan to enable users to browse up to 200 Mbps speed till 3000GB (3TB). Further, the Incredible 1999 plan earlier enabled users to browse at 200 Mbps speed till 1500GB (1.5GB) data with the operator now revamping the plan to offer 300 Mbps speed till 3000GB data.

The top-tier ACT GIGA plan that offered 1 Gbps speed till 2000GB has now been revamped with the plan enabling users to browse at high speed till 4000GB (4TB) data.

Similar to the A-Max 1075 plan, the operator has not revised the prices of its other mid-tier and top-tier plans in Hyderabad. However, ACT Fibernet has not revamped its two entry entry level plans dubbed as A-Max 500 and A-Max 700.

The ACT Fibernet users in Eluru, Guntur and Vijayawada will now receive both enhanced speed and data benefits. It has to be noted that the operator in the three cities including Vijayawada offers three identical plans to its users.

New ACT Fibernet plans in Vijayawada

The base plan dubbed as ACT Silver priced at Rs 574 has been revamped to offer 50 Mbps speed till 750GB data with the plan earlier offering users 40 Mbps speed till 400GB data. The ACT Silver Plus plan that enabled users to browse at 60 Mbps speed till 500GB has been revamped to offer 100 Mbps speed till 1500GB for the same price of Rs 749. Further, the ACT Gold plan that offered users 100 Mbps speed till 750GB has now been revamped to offer 150 Mbps speed till 1500GB data for the same price of Rs 1024.

In Nellore, the operator has removed its ACT Remarkable and ACT Extraordinary plans with ACT Fibernet now only offering six plans to its users. However, the third largest wired broadband service provider has revamped five of its six plans including the entry level ACT Gold plan to offer enhanced speed and data limits to its users.

The ACT Gold plan in Nellore now enables users to browse up to 50 Mbps speed till 750GB as compared to 40 Mbps speed till 300GB that the plan earlier offered. Similarly, the ACT Diamond plan that offered 60 Mbps speed till 600GB has been revamped to offer 100 Mbps speed till 1500GB. The ACT Platinum plan now enables users to browse up to 150 Mbps speed till 1500GB with the plan earlier offering its users 100 Mbps speed till 1000GB.

The ACT Exceptional, ACT Phenomenal, ACT Sensational plans in Nellore have all been revamped to offer 250 Mbps speed till 4000GB, 5000GB (5TB) and 6000GB (6TB) respectively. The operator earlier enabled users subscribed to the ACT Exceptional, ACT Phenomenal, ACT Sensational to browse at 50 Mbps, 75 Mbps and 90 Mbps respectively with lower data limits. Crucially, the operator in the Nellore city continues to offer an ACT Titanium plan for Rs 1449 that offers users 90 Mbps speed till 750GB with the plan remaining unchanged as in the previous months.

It also has to be noted that the operator has not touched its monthly rentals in the Nellore city with the plans continued to be offered at the identical price as in the previous month.

The operator in Tirupati has now removed its ACT Platinum plan priced at Rs 999 with ACT Fibernet now offering its users six plans. The six plans all offer enhanced speed and data limits to its users including the entry level ACT Silver plan in the city that now offers 50 Mbps speed till 1500GB. Similarly, the ACT Gold plan now enables users to browse at 100 Mbps speed till 1500GB while the ACT Diamond plan offers users 150 Mbps speed till 3000GB. The ACT Gold plan earlier offered 60 Mbps speed till 600GB while the Diamond plan offered 100 Mbps speed till 1000GB. Further, the ACT Titanium, ACT Chromium and ACT Palladium have all been revamped to offer 250 Mbps speed till 4000GB, 5000GB and 6000GB respectively.

ACT Fibernet Enhances Data Limits in Visakhapatnam

Meanwhile, the operator in the Visakhapatnam city now offers enhanced data limits to its users on existing plans. The ACT Silver plan in the city now offers users 750GB data as compared to 300GB that the plan earlier offered to its users.

Similarly, The ACT Gold and ACT Diamond plans in the city have been enhanced to offer 1500GB and 3000GB respectively with the plans earlier offering 750GB and 1500GB respectively. However, the operator has not revamped its ACT Platinum plans that continue to offer 200 Mbps speed till 2000GB data limit.

Sun Direct, a south centred Direct-to-Home (DTH) operator is now offering subscribers 148 free-to-air (FTA) channels for only Rs 58. A few days back, TelecomTalk reported about the revision of network capacity fee (NCF) by Sun Direct. The Sun Direct subscribers now pay the least NCF charges as compared to the other DTH operators in India with the operator charging Rs 59 for primary and Rs 23.60 for secondary connection. The DTH operator has updated its web portals with the Sun Direct NCF and FTA packs reflecting the new prices. The subscribers only paying the NCF charges will also be able to get these 148 channels at no additional cost. More on the story ahead.

Sun Direct Adds 148 Channels to 15 Regional Channel Packs

The 'TAMIL DPO 1' pack now costs users Rs 199 per month inclusive of all taxes and NCF charges with the pack enabling users to access 56 paid and 148 free channels. Similarly, the 'TAMIL DPO 2' pack now offers 81 paid channels and 148 free channels for Rs 230 per month.

Further, the 'Tamil DPO 2A' pack with an all inclusive price of Rs 267 per month offers 85 paid and 148 free channels. The last Tamil regional pack on the list 'TAMIL DPO 3' offers 111 paid channels and 148 free channels for an all inclusive price of Rs 351 per month.

Then there are four Telugu regional packs as well which also come with 148 additional FTA channels. These four packs include 'TELUGU DPO 1', 'TELUGU DPO 2', 'TELUGU DPO 2A', and 'TELUGU DPO 3' respectively. The 'TELUGU DPO 1' includes 60 paid and 148 free channels for an all inclusive price of Rs 225 per month. The 'TELUGU DPO 2' comes with 85 paid and 148 free channels for Rs 294 per month. The 'TELUGU DPO 2A' comes with 88 paid channels and 148 free channels for Rs 319 per month. Lastly, the 'TELUGU DPO 3' priced at Rs 379 per month comes with 116 paid channels and 148 free channels.

Coming to the three 'Kannada' regional channel packs on the list, the 'KANNADA DPO 1' priced at Rs 220 per month enables users to watch 54 paid channels and 148 free channels. The 'KANNADA DPO 2' now comes with 91 paid channels and 148 free channels for Rs 278 per month. Lastly, the 'KANNADA DPO 3' offers 112 paid channels and 148 free channels for Rs 358 per month.

Sun Direct also offers three Malayalam packs including 'Malayalam DPO 1' priced at Rs 219 per month inclusive of NCF charges and taxes offering users 57 paid channels and 148 free channels. The 'Malayalam DPO 2' priced at Rs 277 per month offers 82 paid channels along with 148 free channels. Lastly, the 'Malayalam DPO 3' pack now offers 109 paid channels and 148 free channels for Rs 358 per month.

There is also 'SOUTH DPO 4' priced at Rs 449 per month which now provides 124 paid channels and 148 free channels. The subscribers can also get these 148 FTA channels by paying just Rs 59.

It ships with 131GB of data where the users will get 1.5GB daily data along with a bonus 5GB data. This plan comes with a validity of 84 days and also allows users to make unlimited Jio-to-Jio calls. There are 3000 FUP minutes that users can use for dialling non-Jio calls. Further, the Rs 777 plan also includes 100 SMS per day as well. The users also get a complimentary subscription to all the Jio apps.

Airtel Rs 448 Plan

The Rs 448 plan from Bharti Airtel carries a validity of 28 days. Even though the validity is short, the users get 3GB daily data along with unlimited calling to any network within India.
