After the OnePlus 9, the OnePlus 9 Pro renders have leaked online for the first time. And as we expected, the phone looks very identical to the OnePlus 8 Pro. These early renders of the OnePlus 9 Pro suggest the phone will have a quad-camera setup, curved display of 6.7-inch in size and a glass back. We already know the OnePlus 9 Pro will offer 5G support and Snapdragon 875 chipset courtesy of several Geekbench listings in recent times. To recall, the OnePlus 8 Pro arrived with Snapdragon 865 SoC, 5G support, 30W wireless charging, IP68 certification and more. The 9 Pro will replace the 8 Pro which is currently the company’s flagship offering. OnePlus 9 Pro: What the Renders Suggest UsUnlike the OnePlus 8 Pro which had three cameras stacked vertically on the rear, the OnePlus 9 Pro is said to employ a rectangular-shaped module like the recently launched OnePlus 8T. The OnePlus 9 Pro will have four cameras inside the rectangular model with three sensors stacked vertically in one column whereas the fourth sensor and the LED flash stacked in another column. These renders are revealed by Onleaks touting them as ‘early renders’ of the smartphone. To the front, Onleaks suggests the phone will sport a 6.7-inch screen, probably of Quad HD+ resolution like the OnePlus 7 Pro and 8 Pro smartphones. The handset also seems to retain the curved edges on the screen. Lastly, we can see the phone having a glass back panel. Other rumoured specifications of the OnePlus 9 Pro include Snapdragon 875 SoC with 5G support, slightly bigger battery with wireless charging support, 65W fast charging support and IP68 certification. Apart from the OnePlus 9 Pro, the Chinese smartphone company will also unveil the OnePlus 9, which will be the successor to OnePlus 8T that was launched last month. In a separate report, 91mobiles says the OnePlus 9 will have two 48MP camera sensors on the back similar to the OnePlus 8 Pro. This could also be the case with the OnePlus 9 Pro as well. Both the smartphones are expected to officially launch in March 2021. Original article: Early Renders of OnePlus 9 Pro Hint at Quad-Camera Setup and Curved Display ©2020 TelecomTalk. | Xiaomi Seizes Counterfeit Products Worth Rs 33.3 Lakhs in Chennai and Bengaluru Posted: 23 Nov 2020 06:26 AM PST This post first appeared on TelecomTalk Read more at: https://telecomtalk.info/xiaomi-counterfeit-products-seized-cities/312642/, Xiaomi Seizes Counterfeit Products Worth Rs 33.3 Lakhs in Chennai and Bengaluru
Xiaomi India today announced that it seized ‘counterfeit products’ worth Rs 33.3 lakhs from four suppliers in Chennai and three suppliers in Bengaluru. Xiaomi has been the leader of the Indian smartphone market for more than three years now. Since it is the market leader, consumers go to offline stores to purchase its products. However, in some places, sellers make customers believe that counterfeit products are the original products from Xiaomi with similar packaging. Xiaomi has an anti-counterfeit programme as part of which it filed complaints with the local police stations in Chennai and Bengaluru to conduct raids in the markets in October and November. Counterfeit Xiaomi Devices from 3 Prominent Shops SeizedFollowing the registered complaint, the police officers along with Xiaomi’s representatives seized more than 3000 counterfeit devices from three prominent shops in the area. The seized products consist of mobile back cases, headphones, power banks, chargers and earphones. The police officers also arrested the shop owners from both the cities for allegedly selling fake Mi India products worth Rs 24,9 lakhs and Rs 8.4 lakhs respectively. Furthermore, it was found that these suppliers have been managing this business for a long time and have sold multiple unauthorised products in the market. How to Identify Counterfeit Products of XiaomiCounterfeited products are not manufactured by Xiaomi, hence the quality will be missing from these products. Furthermore, these products degrade customer experience alongside carrying a big threat to consumer health and safety. Counterfeit products are very famous in India and such incidents have increased in the country over the previous years. To tackle this situation, Xiaomi India has created a dedicated team for constantly monitoring the market and taking quick action against such unauthorised sellers. Here’s how you can identify yourself a genuine Xiaomi product:

One of the biggest news making rounds online is the discontinuation of the Galaxy Note series by Samsung. Now, as per a report from the Aju News, a South Korean publication, Samsung has confirmed the same. Samsung also confirmed the launch of Galaxy Z Fold 3 in June 2021. Many are speculating that the Galaxy S21 Ultra might feature support for 'S Pen' stylus. While this would make the Note series fans very unhappy, the stylus would still be available for them with the S21 Ultra if the news is true. More details ahead. Samsung Galaxy S21 Series to Launch in January and Galaxy Z Fold 3 in June 2021Samsung Galaxy S21 series might be launched in January in India. Much recently, the Galaxy S21 series got certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). The series is expected to feature Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra. | Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G Confirmed to Feature Snapdragon 750G SoC Posted: 22 Nov 2020 09:56 PM PST This post first appeared on TelecomTalk Read more at: https://telecomtalk.info/redmi-note-9-pro-5g-specs/312549/, Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G Confirmed to Feature Snapdragon 750G SoC
Xiaomi’ strategy of launching a new Redmi Note 9 series in China is surely questionable. However, the repeated naming convention does not stop the Chinese company from adding the best mid-range specs to the smartphones. The Redmi Note 9 5G series is expected to have two smartphones- the standard Redmi Note 9 and the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G. Besides these phones, Xiaomi may also launch the Redmi Note 10 4G model, but nothing is confirmed for now. Ahead of the scheduled launch for November 26, Redmi confirmed the Note 9 Pro 5G would have Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G chipset underneath. For the unaware, Xiaomi used the same Snapdragon 750G SoC on its Mi 10T Lite smartphone last month. Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G: What We Know So FarIt is turning out the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G will just be a rebranded version of the Mi 10T Lite that was launched in global markets recently. The Mi 10T Lite looks very identical to the Poco X3 with a circular quad-camera module. The teasers of the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G also revealed the same rear panel design as the Mi 10T Lite and Poco X3. Redmi General Manager Lu Weibing on Weibo confirmed that the company is indeed the latest Snapdragon 750G mid-range SoC on the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G. Last year, Redmi said it would only launch 5G compatible smartphones in the Chinese market. Furthermore, rumours coming from China also hint the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G will be the cheapest phone to have Samsung’s flagship 108MP camera sensor. It was recently said that Samsung is very disappointed at the response for its 108MP camera sensor. We hardly saw camera brands adopting the Samsung ISOCELL HM1 sensor and the South Korean electronics giant recently unveiled ISOCELL HM2 sensor. Redmi might make use of the HM1 sensor itself on the Note 9 Pro 5G. Other camera sensors on the phone might include a wide-angle lens, depth sensor and a macro sensor. In the camera department, the Note 9 Pro 5G seems to differ from the Mi 10T Lite. Other hardware specs on the Note 9 Pro 5G are 4800mAh battery, 33W fast charging, punch-hole display and the phone will run Android 10 out of the box. | Airtel Will Watch Industry First Before Hiking Tariff Prices: Sunil Mittal Posted: 22 Nov 2020 08:24 PM PST This post first appeared on TelecomTalk Read more at: https://telecomtalk.info/airtel-industry-watch-tariff-hike/312542/, Airtel Will Watch Industry First Before Hiking Tariff Prices: Sunil Mittal
Telecom tariff prices in India are the cheapest across the globe. Even after the tariff hike that happened in December 2019, consumers are getting 1GB of data for less than Rs 5 in the country. The rise of Reliance Jio happened only to the fact that it offered the cheapest 4G tariff plans. Over the last few weeks, we saw Vodafone Idea's thought of raising tariffs once again so that it can sustain in the market. Now, Sunil Mittal of Bharti Airtel also highlighted that the telecom tariff hike is very much required in India because the current rates are 'unsustainable.' Amongst the private telecom operators, Airtel has the highest ARPU sitting at Rs 162 followed by Reliance Jio and Vodafone Idea. However, Airtel is looking to increase its Average Revenue per User (ARPU) even further to bring back some stability. But Mittal also admitted that Airtel would not move ahead with tariff hike without the industry or the regulator moving. Airtel Will Watch Market Conditions for Tariff HikeSunil Mittal says the tariff hike should happen, however, he also believes that Airtel cannot move ahead. “…current tariffs are unsustainable but Airtel cannot move without the industry moving or the regulator moving." Furthermore, he added that the country' second-largest telecom operator would watch the market conditions for hiking the tariff prices. In December 2019, Airtel hiked the tariff prices right after Vodafone Idea and it was also followed by Reliance Jio. It is said that the Trai is currently in the process of setting a floor price for the telecom industry after which we will see the tariff prices going up. This industry needs tonnes of money, it is a high capital-intensive industry…buying spectrum, putting out networks, fibre, radio, towers…this is a continuously investing industry,” Mittal said further, according to PTI. Just a couple of days ago, we reported that Bharti Airtel had started refarming the 2G spectrum for 4G. Mittal said that the company would eventually move 2G customers to 4G and also reiterated the fact that Airtel already closed its 3G services across the country. Talking about 5G services availability in India, Mittal added that the current 5G spectrum prices are not affordable and he also believes India has ample time for its 5G road map. Before this revision, Excell used to offer a Rs 699 broadband plan that came with 50 Mbps speeds and 400GB FUP limit. As for the other plans, Excell has an Ultimate 100 Mbps plan with 100 Mbps speeds, 1.5GB FUP limit and 2 Mbps speeds. The plan costs Rs 799 per month. Lastly, Excell’s 150 Mbps premium ‘Preferred’ plan comes with 150 Mbps speeds up to 3000GB or 3TB after which the speeds will be reduced to 2 Mbps. And the 150 Mbps plan retails for Rs 1,199 per month. Excell Broadband is running a couple of offers for both existing and new users. Customers can avail one month of free service on six months subscriptions along with 100GB of additional data. There’s also another offer as part of which customers can avail two months of free subscriptions on 12 months plan along with the same 100GB additional data. As noted, Excell has a strong foothold in the South Indian Telugu states- Andhra Pradesh & Telangana. The 150 Mbps plan is priced very well, however, JioFiber and Airtel Xstream Fiber plans also ship with OTT benefits which make unique offerings for the customers.
