Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is offering users a free 4G SIM card for a limited time. The telco has done this a number of times previously for select telecom circles. It is the same for this time as well, and the users living in Kerala circle can only take benefit of this offer. For the unaware, BSNL's 4G SIM card normally costs Rs 20, but users can be exempted from paying this amount if they follow few conditions of the telco. First of all, note that this offer is only there for a limited time until January 31, 2021, and it started from today, i.e., January 23, 2021 — more details on the story ahead.

BSNL 4G SIM Available for Free in Kerala Circle

BSNL, through an official release, said that users living in Kerala could get a new 4G SIM for free until January 31, 2021. This offer will also be applicable for users who are looking to port their numbers to BSNL.

It is a promotional offer available for users who subscribe with First Recharge Coupon (FRC) of Rs 100 and more. This means any customer who recharges with an FRC of Rs 100 and more will get the new SIM card without any additional cost.

A few days back, the same offer was provided by BSNL to customers living in the Chennai and Tamil Nadu circles. However, that offer expired on January 8, 2021. So for a limited time, BSNL users living in Kerala can get the SIM card for free.

How Can You Avail this Offer?

MNP Port-In or new customers in the Kerala circle can get a free 4G SIM card by visiting the nearest BSNL store or BSNL retailer shop and will have to submit all the necessary documents for acquiring a SIM card.

The benefits of getting a 4G SIM card from BSNL have increased. For the unaware, the telco has removed the fair usage policy (FUP) limit for users from unlimited calls which was 250 minutes a day and made it truly unlimited. Adding to this, the telco is also offering 100 SMS/day with each of its prepaid plans.

Then there is the Rs 398 prepaid offering which brings users truly unlimited data along with unlimited voice-calling and 100 SMS/day for 30 days. The upside of getting the 4G SIM card from BSNL for free has increased.

MacBook Air has had the same design and aesthetics as long as one can remember. But this year, Apple is finally going to change it. MacBook Air 2021 might be another game-changer in the industry. Samsung recently launched the Galaxy S21 series in India and other parts of the world. Every year, Samsung's fans wait for either the 'S' series or the 'Note' series to get a new device so that they can get their hands on the latest flagship from the South Korean tech giant. But now, these fans might not see another device under the 'Note' series. Hence, for those waiting for the next device in the Note series, this might be a disappointing read for you. No More Devices for Galaxy Note Series

Two of the well-known tipsters have said that Samsung is discontinuing the Note series all over the world. Ice Universe took to Twitter and said that the Note series had seen its last days and that there will be no Galaxy Note 21. Another industry insider, Ross Young, said the same thing. Ross Young said that the next device which will come under the Note series would be Note 20 FE.

Samsung didn't see any attractive sales under the S20 or Note 20 series in 2020. It missed its sales target by a huge margin. Thus the decision to discontinue the Note series might be to save costs and push one flagship series (S21) aggressively in the market. This would allow the company to focus on the sales channel of one important series at a time and would also allow being more innovative with one device.

Also, the fact that Samsung has provided the 'S' pen support in the S21 Ultra, it becomes hard to ignore the possibility of the company, not coming with other new devices under the 'Note' category this year.

However, it is worth noting that Samsung dismissed all the rumours of Galaxy Note series discontinuing a few weeks back. An official of the company said that Samsung is expanding the Note series’s features and experience on its other devices. This does not mean that Samsung won't pay attention to the Note series.

Some of the reports have also suggested that Samsung might not kill the Galaxy Note series anytime soon. Yonhap News reports that the mobile maker will launch a new device under the Galaxy Note series, namely Galaxy Note 21 in 2021.

There are a lot of people who are disappointed by the news of Note series dying. But at the moment, it is important to remember that everything is a speculation based on rumours. Thus, we will have to wait and see what Samsung says and does in the next few months.

State-run telecom operator BSNL brings new offers for Independence Day and Republic Day every year. And it continues this year for Republic Day 2021. BSNL Republic Day 2021 Offers include extra validity on two long-term prepaid recharges of Rs 2,399 and Rs 1,999. The government-owned company also launched a new STV 398 with 30 days validity. On top of that, the telco has made a major revision by removing the FUP limit on voice calls. All the BSNL plans had a 250 minutes daily voice calling FUP limit, but that has been removed now. On top of that, the telco will also provide full talk time value on all the topups priced above Rs 120 and going all the way up to Rs 6,000. BSNL Republic Day 2021 Offers: Rs 1,999 Plan Offers 21 Days Extra Validity

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is offering the Rs 1,999 annual prepaid plan for a while now. As part of the Republic Day 2021, it will provide an additional validity of 21 days, taking the total validity of the plan to 386 days. The extra validity offer will be valid till January 31, 2021.

As for the benefits, the PV 1999 or Rs 1,999 BSNL annual plan comes with unlimited voice calling to any network within India, 3GB data per day and 100 SMSes per day. Besides, users will also get free PRBT (BSNL Tunes) subscription with unlimited song change option for 365 days. The plan also ships with Eros Now subscription for 365 days, alongside Lokdhun content for the first 60 days.

BSNL Republic Day 2021 Offers: Rs 2,399 Plan Offers 72 Days Extra Validity

Since it is India’s 72nd Republic Day, BSNL revised the PV 2,399 or Rs 2,399 long-term plan to offer 72 days of extra validity. The plan comes with unlimited voice calling without any daily FUP limit, 100 SMSes per day, 3GB data per day, free BSNL PRBT for 365 days and Eros Now subscription for the entire validity period. BSNL reduced the validity of the plan from 600 days to 365 days, but the limited period offer till March 31, 2021, means users get 437 days validity.

BSNL Republic Day 2021 Offers: STV 398 New Plan Launched

To stay competitive in the market, BSNL brought the STV 398 plan a couple of weeks ago, but the telco is marketing it as the plan introduced for Republic Day 2021 itself. The USP of this prepaid plan is the unlimited data benefit. BSNL did not mention any daily FUP limit or speed reduction after a certain amount of data usage, so we are assuming the plan offers truly unlimited data without any restriction. Other benefits of the plan include unlimited voice calls to any network including those in Delhi and Mumbai circles. It also allows users to send 100 SMSes per day.

BSNL Republic Day 2021 Offers: Slew of Topups Offering Full Talk Time Benefit

Lastly, we have a lot of topups from BSNL which offer full talk time benefit for a limited period. The Rs 120, Rs 150, Rs 200, Rs 220, Rs 300, Rs 500, Rs 550, Rs 1,000, Rs 1,100, Rs 2,000, Rs 3,000, Rs 5,000 and Rs 6,000, plans are coming with full talk time benefit for a limited period.
