While the Galaxy M62 was spotted on official Samsung India’s website with SM-M625F/DS model number, the Galaxy A32 5G support page has the SM-A325F/DS model number listed. Besides these two phones, the South Korean smartphone company already confirmed that it would launch the Galaxy F62 in India on February 16. The Galaxy M62 seems to be making its global debut, whereas the Galaxy A32 5G already went official in the European market. Mysmartprice first spotted the support pages of both the phones.

Samsung Galaxy M62 India Launch: Everything You Need to Know

This is not the first time we are hearing about the Galaxy M62. The phone was spotted on Geekbench earlier which revealed the processor and RAM information, and it also cleared FCC certification. The M62 now has a support page on Samsung India’s official website with ‘SM-M625F/DS.’

The FCC certification page for Galaxy M62 revealed the device would be powered by Exynos 9825 chipset, and the single-core and multi-core scores of the phone on Geekbench also suggested the chipset will indeed be Exynos 9825. The handset will have at least 6GB of RAM. Other leaked specifications of the smartphone include a 7000mAh battery, 25W fast charging support and up to 256GB of internal storage. The specifications of the Galaxy M62 are very much identical to the confirmed specifications of Galaxy F62.

Samsung Galaxy A32 5G India Launch: What to Expect

Just a couple of days ago, we reported the pricing and complete spec-sheet of the Galaxy A32 5G. The same smartphone now has a support page on the Indian website with SM-A325F/DS model number. This means Samsung will also join the likes of Xiaomi, Realme, OnePlus and Vivo to offer mid-range 5G phones. For the unaware, the Galaxy A32 5G has MediaTek Dimensity 720 SoC underneath.

At the moment, we don’t have the exact launch date for the Galaxy M62 and the Galaxy A32 5G. Once Samsung launches the Galaxy F62 on February 16, it could start teasing the Galaxy M62’s launch followed by A32 5G.

Lenovo-owned Motorola just made the entry-level Moto E6i official in Brazil. This phone runs Android 10 (Go Edition) out of the box because it has just 2GB of RAM. The Moto E6i is just a rebadged version of Moto E6s (2020) and it might launch in India in the coming days. The only difference between the two phones is the processor. The Moto E6s (2020) has the Helio P22 chipset underneath, whereas the new model comes with Unisoc Tiger SC9863A SoC. Since the phone runs Android Go Edition, the mediocre processor should get the job done. The phone is priced at BRL 1,099 (approx. Rs 14,900). Continue reading to know the specifications of Moto E6i in detail.

Moto E6i: Specifications and Features

The Moto E6i comes in only one variant with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It can be purchased in two colour options- Titanium Gray and Pink. Starting with the display, the Moto E6i sports a 6.1-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 720×1600 pixels and a teardrop notch on top. There’s a microSD card as well for storage expansion. As noted, the phone comes powered by the Unisoc Tiger SC9863A chipset.

There’s a dual-camera setup on the rear side of the smartphone; A 13MP primary lens works in tandem with a 2MP depth sensor. The handset runs Android 10 (Go Edition) and has a 3000mAh battery. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and a Micro USB port. Motorola has added a fingerprint scanner to the backside of the phone

Motorola did not reveal when it is planning to launch the Moto E6i in India. Since the phone has a mediocre processor, it may not receive enough response from the Indian consumers. Also, it could retail for less than Rs 8,000 when it reaches in India. It will go against the likes of Redmi 9A and Realme C12 smartphones in India. The Moto E6s was launched in India back in 2019 as the cheapest phone with 4GB of RAM and it runs full-fledged Android.

broadband-router-problems-common-solutions

Network issues are common with the use of routers. There are multiple types of routers, and even the latest ones can face issues with connections. But the good thing is, most of the issues related to broadband routers can be solved very easily. You won't need a technician or an expert to help you with the troubleshooting; you can do it yourself. Just follow the steps we are mentioning below, and you should be all good.

Broadband Router Troubleshooting Guidelines

The first thing that you should do is check your Wi-Fi settings and see if they are correct. Under Wi-Fi settings, there are things such as 'Network Mode', 'Security Mode', and 'Security key' that you have to take a look at when you can't connect your device/devices with the router's network.

Second, and this is a very common solution suggested by many; update your router's firmware. Latest firmware comes with additional security features and improvements. Firmware updates enhance the router's overall functioning giving you a better internet experience.

Third, check if your router is overheating or overloading. If several devices are connected to the same network of the router, you should think about creating a guest network for some devices. Your internet of things (IoT) devices can also be connected to the guest network, and select devices can be connected to the main network.

Fourth, check if the MAC address of your device is included in the list of allowed connections. Usually, under settings, the MAC address filtering is off, but the admins can change it. If there is a list and your device is not included on it, you won't be able to connect to the network.

Another thing that you should check is the kind of network you are connected to. Most of the modern routers come with 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz network bands. 2.4 GHz band is suitable for older devices which support slower 'G' specification.

These are few of the things you can follow if you face issues with your broadband router.

want-to-port-from-jio-to-airtel

Mobile Number Portability (MNP) offers telecom users services to shift their network provider with ease without changing their primary mobile number. Network providers have been competing with each other to offer the best packs and services from their competitors. Sometimes, users feel like changing the operator they are taking services from for several reasons such as slow speeds, inadequate network coverage in an area, or more. They can do that with a few simple steps we are mentioning ahead.

How to File SMS Request for Porting?

Users can port from their existing provider to a different one very easily. To start with the porting service, from your number, send an SMS through the messaging app on your phone to 1900. Type 'PORT' space 'Mobile Number' and send the SMS. Once you share the SMS, you will get a unique porting code. Visit the nearby store of the operator you wish to port your number to and ask the customer desk to facilitate the documents and other necessary information regarding portability. Pay the porting fees and wait for the document verification process. Once the process is completed, the store operator will provide you with the new SIM card.

Documents Required for MNP Service

MNP service requires official information and documents regarding the user. Address proof and passport-sized photograph are two important documents which are necessary for user verification. Since the process has been shifted to digital methods, users have to provide biometric verification to complete the porting process at the time of document verification and use the operator’s services.

Generally, the porting process stretches around 5 to 7 working days. Until then, users get the service in their existing prepaid and postpaid connections. Once the verification process is completed, cellular connectivity stops in the current SIM card, and users have to shift to their new SIM card to continue consuming telecom services.

avid-reddit-reader-how-you-disable-open-app-pop-up

The social news aggregation and discussion website Reddit has developed a fast and responsive mobile website for its users for hassle-free browsing. However, the constant pop-up messages that ask the users to open the post or thread in the app instead of the website deteriorate users’ experience. But don’t worry, you can disable the open-in app messages by following some simple steps.

Uncheck ‘Ask to Open in App’ Box from Settings

You can easily disable the constant annoying pop-up messages with few simple steps. Firstly, navigate to the Reddit mobile website and tap the three-line menu, located at the top-right corner and select settings. In the settings option, you will see ‘night mode’ and ‘Ask to Open in App’ option. Simply uncheck the box for "Ask to Open in App". Once you have unchecked, you will not receive pesky annoying pop-up messages in future. You will also see a message that will read "Updated Preference" which will mean the new settings are in place.

Limitations Regarding Updated Preference

Even after you unchecked the ‘Ask to Open in App’ option, you will face some issues with this particular problem. The updated preference of disabling pop-up messages will not be synced across all the other browsers installed in your device. The settings will be stored in browser cookies.

Thus, once you clear your browsing data, you will have to follow the same steps again to disable the pop-up messages and get a smooth browsing experience. Another limitation that users might face is that these steps will not be applicable for Reddit AMP pages that are visible on Google discover feed.

Even though pop-up messages degrade the user experience, Reddit gives the option to browse the app without any annoying messages and notifications. Follow these simple steps and have a comfortable browsing experience.

koo-india-app

Koo app has been trending on Twitter for a few days now. Many Indian personalities such as Union Minister Piyush Goyal and others have tweeted about using the microblogging platform to share information. For the unaware, the Koo app has been developed and grown completely in India. Because of the disagreements between Twitter and the Indian government, many users look at Koo app as the Twitter alternative they can switch to. The government had asked Twitter to remove over 1,000 accounts which were spreading misinformation revolving around the farmers’ protests. When Twitter didn't take any action against specific accounts, it created a tussle between the government and the world’s biggest microblogging platform — more details on the story ahead.

Koo App Features

Koo is a microblogging platform just like Twitter. The app was launched last year, and it did well to win the Digital India AatmaNirbhar Bharat Innovate Challenge. People can use this app to share their ideas in their local language. Since only a limited percentage of India speaks English, millions of Indians need to communicate in their regional language. The Koo app is here to fill that market gap.

The app can be downloaded in both iOS and Android devices. It allows users to see and follow other accounts on the platform and browse through a feed of content just like Twitter. Users are allowed to share content in video and audio formats as well. The messages can be as long as 400 characters and are called 'Koo' just like a message on Twitter is called 'Tweet'.

Users will have to set up their account before they can share or follow other accounts on the platform. Setting up the profile is a very easy thing to do inside Koo, and users can also choose to show or hide their personal information in the profile. There is also a 'bio' section where users can write something about themselves.

If you are on Koo app already, you can follow Telecomtalk on it by clicking here.

The short video format was amongst the fastest-growing category last year. By 2025, the short video content is expected to grow by four times. There was also a rise in data consumption from rural areas of the country. An average Indian spent approximately 5 hours in his/her smartphone daily for both entertainment and productivity purposes.

D2h Starts Offering 5 Years of Warranty on All Set-Top Boxes

This post first appeared on TelecomTalk Read more at: https://telecomtalk.info/d2h-five-years-warranty-stbs/334994/, D2h Starts Offering 5 Years of Warranty on All Set-Top Boxes

Dish TV-owned D2h has started offering five years of warranty on all the Set-Top Boxes (STBs) available on its platform. In the past, we have rated Dish TV as the best DTH operator in India in terms of STB warranty. And it continues with the new schemes. Dish TV is offering three years of warranty on its STBs, whereas D2h’ STBs come with five years of warranty which is probably a first in the industry. In the past, we have seen Tata Sky offering three years of warranty on all STBs, but the company revised the policy again to just one year. On the flip side, Airtel Digital TV and Sun Direct are providing just one year of STB warranty. Besides revising the STB warranty policy, D2h also started selling STBs ‘with’ and ‘without’ antennas.

D2h Set-Top Box Warranty Policy Revised to Offer 5 Years of Free Service

As per the new information available on D2h’s website, all the new connection holders will get five years of warranty on Set-Top Box. The DTH operator has four STBs on offer- the d2h Stream Android TV-based box priced at Rs 3,999, d2h Digital HD Set-Top Box With Radio Frequency Remote priced at Rs 1,799, d2h Digital HD Set-Top Box priced at Rs 1,599 and d2h Digital SD Set-Top Box that retails for Rs 1,499. The prices mentioned above are excluding taxes.

As noted, D2h is now providing STBs with and without an antenna. Customers can choose the option while booking a new connection on the website. If the customer chooses with antenna, the company will deliver remote, STB, antenna, LMP and wire (ten metres). In the case of without the antenna option, users will only receive remote and STB.

In addition to five years of warranty on STB, all the new connections will get a free channel pack for one month. Albeit the SD Set-Top Box, the other three STBs will come with an HD channel pack for one month with including Network Capacity Fee (NCF). Lastly, D2h also says it will provide free installation on all new connections and that too it is a promising installation within six hours. All the D2h STBs come with unlimited recording facility.

Dish TV is losing market share every quarter. In the next few quarters, we might see Airtel Digital TV taking over Dish TV as the country’ second largest DTH operator. Tata Sky is currently the leading DTH operator in India with around 32% of market share.
