The Samsung Galaxy A32 4G is confirmed by the company to launch on March 5, 2021. Days before its launch, the price of the device has been leaked. The tipster, Ishan Agrawal, has said that the device will cost Rs 21,999 for its 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage variant. While the pricing is not yet confirmed, the leak looks very much promising since this is the ideal price range for the device. Samsung has already revealed some of the confirmed details of the device. Looking at the specifications, this price doesn't seem off.

Samsung Galaxy A32 4G Specifications

We reported yesterday that the Samsung Galaxy A32 4G will come with a 5,000mAh battery and support for 90Hz refresh rate. The device is further going to feature a Super AMOLED display. Further, it is expected to come with a quad-camera setup at the rear, where the primary sensor is a 64MP lens. The colours revealed by the microsite of the device on Samsung's page are – Awesome Blue and Awesome Violet.

The Samsung Galaxy A32 4G launched with a 6.4-inch full-HD+ display for Russia and the UK markets. Under the hood, the device might feature the octa-core MediaTek Helio G80 SoC coupled with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The internal storage is further expected to be bumped up to 1TB with a microSD card.

The international variant of the device launched with an in-display fingerprint scanner and in four colours – Awesome Violet, Awesome Black, Awesome White, and Awesome Blue. There are further speculations that the device's 5G variant might launch in India soon as well.

Samsung Galaxy A32 4G Price

As mentioned above, the leaked price of the device suggests that its 6GB RAM and 128GB variant will be priced at Rs 21,999. The device was priced at $295 for Russia, which is approximately Rs 21,630. While it is not very different from the price suggested by the leakster, it is worthy to note that the $295 pricing was for 4GB RAM and 128GB variant, not the 6GB RAM and 128GB variant.

Vi Bought Spectrum in 5 Circles Only, Waiting for 5G Spectrum Auctions Eagerly

vi-renewing-4g-spectrum-auction-2021

As expected, Vodafone Idea stayed low-key during the 4G spectrum auctions 2021. The telco focused mainly on renewing the spectrum that was expiring soon. It is worth noting that Vi entered the auctions with the largest quantum of spectrum amongst all the operators. But it also purchased spectrum in five circles to enhance its 4G network's efficiency and experience. Analysts expected Vi to make the least purchases since the telco already had enough spectrum due to Vodafone and Idea’s merger. All Vi needs at the moment is new subscribers, not a spectrum.

Vi Hopeful for 5G Spectrum Auctions to Take Place Soon

The telco, in a release, said that it has purchased a new spectrum in five circles of India. Vi is hopeful that the spectrum auction for the 5G bands takes place soon. It further said that the spectrum prices should be fairly assessed so that operators can rollout out new networks rapidly.

According to Ookla, Vi had the fastest 4G network in the previous two quarters. The telco has purchased spectrum in only five telecom circles and hopes to improve network experience in those five circles where it believes more efficiency is required.

Vi ignored the 700 MHz spectrum band, which was expected since the band’s reserve price was very high. Airtel also ignored the 700 MHz bands citing the reason as ‘exorbitant reserve price’. Compared to Vi, Bharti Airtel purchased a ton of spectrum and spent Rs 18,699 crores for acquiring a total of 355.45 MHz of spectrum across several bands.

Airtel spent most of its money on the Sub GHz bands and is looking to improve the network experience for its customers staying indoors in urban cities. The telco has further said that with the new spectrum, it will provide network coverage to 90 million additional users living in the rural parts of India.

Gopal Vittal, MD & CEO of Bharti Airtel (India and South Asia), said the telco has a solid spectrum portfolio now, and that will help it in delivering a stronger mobile broadband experience to its users.

Airtel also noted the exorbitant pricing of the spectrum in the 700 MHz band. The telco said that it is vital for accelerating India's growth digitally, but it skipped from purchasing at all in the concerned band because of its high reserve price.

BSNL FRC 249 Plan Launched, Offers 2GB Daily Data and Unlimited Calling

Posted: 01 Mar 2021 11:03 PM PST

bsnl-frc-249-plan-launched

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has just launched a new first recharge coupon (FRC) of Rs 249. It is a new voucher which is available for users for a limited period only. The BSNL FRC 249 offers users 2GB daily data along with unlimited voice calling and 100 SMS/day. Its validity is 60 days which is a substantial period given the benefits and the plan’s price. The plan is giving 1GB extra every day, which is included in the benefit of 2GB daily data. Do note that the voucher is only available until March 31, 2021.

BSNL FRC 249 Plan Details

It is worth noting that the BSNL FRC 249 is available pan-India. This voucher is not just beneficial for the consumers but also the retailers and the Direct Selling Agents (DSA) of the state-run telco. BSNL is giving Rs 224 as commission for every new connection that a retailer or the DSA brings with the FRC 249.

This is a good attempt by BSNL to motivate DSAs and retailers to sell more new connections. The telco might see an influx of new users because of this offer. It is worth appreciating that BSNL has been very creative at rolling out new offers recently.

Even though its prepaid plans and data vouchers don't come with over-the-top (OTT) benefits like the other telcos offer, it still has garnered consumers’ attention by rolling out interesting offers. One of those offers is the free-SIM card offer. Even though a 4G SIM card from BSNL only costs Rs 20, the free SIM card offer coupled with recharge conditions or prepaid vouchers has worked well for the telco.

Further, BSNL has also launched unique propositions for its DSL broadband users. The telco has around 7 million broadband users in India, out of which fiber users are only 1 million. This means that the telco's majority of broadband users use a DSL connection, making the new plans a great move.

WhatsApp is adding the ability to import third-party sticker packs on Android and iOS platforms. WhatsApp has been supporting sticker packs from third-party apps for a while, but with this new feature, users can create their own custom stickers with compatible apps, and then import them to WhatsApp. WABetaInfo says the feature is now official in Brazil, India and Indonesia. Other countries will follow the rollout in the coming weeks, says the website. Users with WhatsApp for iOS 2.21.40 and WhatsApp for Android Beta 2.21.5.6 will be able to use this feature. How to Import Custom Sticker Packs on Android and iOS?

There are several sticker maker apps available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store. WABetaInfo recommends the ‘Sticker Maker’ application to create stickers on your own. To give a brief idea about the Sticker Maker app, it allows users to create stickers as they like. The recent Sticker Maker app update added the ability to create of creating animated and text-only stickers. You can pick an image or video from your Gallery app to create sticker packs.

Sticker Maker also confirmed that WhatsApp is rolling out the support for importing custom sticker packs. However, it says if you are unable to add stickers to WhatsApp, then you will have to wait for the latest update to reach your smartphone.

The official WhatsApp guidelines say users can either import a static or animated sticker pack. For example, you will face issues while importing sticker packs that have both static and animated stickers. Besides, a sticker pack should have at least three stickers. These are the things you should keep in mind while creating sticker packs on the Sticker Maker app or any other app.

Here’s how you can create a sticker pack on the Sticker Maker app. Open the application and select a name for your sticker pack. Then add the stickers to the pack (images or videos); You can also resize the stickers on the app. Then you will be required to publish the sticker pack.
