OnePlus 9 RT Expected to Come With Super-Fast Charging Support Posted: 17 Sep 2021 07:10 AM PDT This year, OnePlus launched three smartphones in its flagship series, including the OnePlus 9R, which is the most affordable in the trio. As the company is expected to launch the next-generation models in the 9T series sometime soon, speculations related to the OnePlus 9 RT have started surfacing online. Rumours point out that the device could be unveiled next month in select markets, including India. The device has already started visiting the certification databases, including China's CCC or 3C website and India's BIS certification website, hinting at its imminent launch. The smartphone was spotted on the 3C certification database with the model number MT2110. At that time, there was no indication that this model number corresponds to that of the OnePlus 9 RT. However, a seeming confirmation has been made after it was spotted on the BIS database with the model number MT2111 late last month. Now, a report by GizmoChina has revealed that the alleged OnePlus 9 RT smartphone could be launched with support for 65W fast charging support. The 3C listing that it has shared does not disclose any other information about the smartphone. Notably, this specification falls in line with the rumoured aspects of the upcoming smartphone, but it is believed to be that of the OnePlus 9R. OnePlus 9RT Rumored SpecificationsAs per the existing rumours and leaks, the OnePlus 9 RT is speculated to bestow a 6.55-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. The screen is likely to use a 120 Hz refresh rate and an in-display fingerprint sensor. Under its hood, the upcoming OnePlus smartphone is tipped to make use of an octa-core Snapdragon 870 SoC along with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage space in the high-end variant. Likely to run Android 12 topped with OxygenOS 12, the OnePlus 9 RT is rumoured to flaunt a triple rear camera module with a 50MP primary Sony IMX766 sensor, a 16MP secondary ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP tertiary B&W sensor. It is believed to house a 16MP selfie camera sensor with a punch-hole cutout at the front. Other aspects that are making rounds on the rumour mills include a 4500mAh battery with 65W fast charging support, a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, dual-stereo speakers, and 5G connectivity support.
Vodafone Idea Not Looking to Give Up Equity Against Dues Posted: 17 Sep 2021 05:39 AM PDT Vodafone Idea (Vi), the merged entity between Vodafone and Idea, is not preferring to use the equity to pay both the principal and interest that it has to pay the government towards AGR (adjusted gross revenue) dues and spectrum fees. This has been revealed by people with direct knowledge of the matter at the Aditya Birla Group, claims a report by MoneyControl. The option of paying dues as equity to the government will defeat the entire purpose of ownership, claims the report citing people who wish to be anonymous. The merged debt-laden telco wants to put structural changes back in place in order to take advantage of the recently approved telecom relief package by the government. As per the government's approval, there will be a moratorium of four years on AGR dues and spectrum fees. This will come into effect from October 1, 2021, claims the report. Also, it is tipped that a multi-pronged strategy is in the works to capture the telco's loss of market share as well as to improve its health financially with the boost granted to cash flows, they added. They stated that it is a relief from the government dues to the telecom operators but not from the intense competition faced in the telecom sector. The structural changes are being contemplated by Vi include improvements in management, upgrading from 2G to 4G and sharpening its competitive edge. Vodafone Idea Doesn't Want To Give UpBack in 2017, Vodafone and Idea announced a merger to create a telecom behemoth with nearly 430 million subscribers. However, it witnessed a significant drop in the number of subscribers since then. It was 255 million in the Q1 of this fiscal year and the average revenue per user (ARPU) plunged to Rs 104 in the same quarter. Notably, it was Rs 121 in Q3 of the last fiscal year. The sources cited above claim that Vi needs an ARPU of nearly Rs 150 to generate sufficient revenue and sustain in the industry. In the tough tariff environment, it will not be able to generate revenue without upgrading its network from 2G to 4G as this move will add a premium to it and help increase its ARPU. However, this is laced with challenges as the network upgrade requires a capital expenditure on infrastructure.

Let's take a look at the TP-Link AC1200 Archer A6 Router.TP-Link AC1200 Archer A6 RouterThe TP-Link AC1200 Archer A6 Router can deliver a maximum download speed of 867 Mbps speed only (through the 5 GHz network). This is because Xiaomi's router can deliver much higher download speeds than the TP-Link's concerned router. |

Mobile Download Speed In India Reached 17.96 Mbps In August 2021: Ookla Posted: 16 Sep 2021 11:24 PM PDT The mobile download speeds in India saw marginal growth in the month of August 2021. From 17.77 Mbps in July, the speeds increased to 17.96 Mbps. Because of the slow growth, according to Ookla, a global leader in mobile and broadband network intelligence testing applications, India has dropped four positions in the global ranking for mobile speeds from 122 to 126. Countries including Colombia, Uzbekistan, Côte d'Ivoire, and Belarus went ahead of India. Growth is growth; regardless of how much others are growing, it is reassuring to see India increasing its download speeds as well. Broadband Internet In India Reached Mean Speed of 62.45 Mbps in August 2021Broadband internet in India reached a mean speed of 62.45 Mbps in the month of August 2021. It is worth noting that this was the highest fixed broadband mean speed that Indian has ever seen in a particular month. As per Ookla, India has maintained its global rank of 68th position in the fixed broadband speeds in the month of August 2021. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Singapore were on the top spot in August 2021 when it came to mobile broadband and fixed broadband with a mean download speed of 195.52 Mbps and 262.20 Mbps. With the improving 4G networks in India, the speed is expected to bump up further in the coming months. Also, with 5G just around the corner, these speeds could jump 10x in a 5G network connection. More and more people are opting for fiber broadband internet, which should also affect India's growth in broadband download speeds. With the relief measures in place, the telcos can aggressively invest in their 4G network and coverage, which will boost the average mobile download speeds delivered to the end-users. Note that the Ookla test results come from the data taken by hundreds of millions of real tests by real people living in different parts of the world.

Bharti Airtel, Vi Might Get Total Rs 22,000 Crores of Bank Guarantees Back from DoT Posted: 16 Sep 2021 08:25 PM PDT Both Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea (Vi) might get a total of Rs 22,000 crores back from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) if they opt for the moratorium of spectrum payments for the next four years. The Rs 22,000 crores in concern here are the Bank Guarantees (BGs) that the telcos had provided to the DoT. Out of the Rs 22,000 crores, Vodafone Idea will get Rs 14,000 crores and Bharti Airtel will get Rs 8,000 crores. Since telcos won't have to pay spectrum dues for the next four years, there's no point for the DoT to keep BGs provided by the telcos in the same time period. A person aware of the matter told ET Telecom that both Vodafone Idea and Bharti Airtel stand to get back BGs from the government. This will boost the cash flow position of both the companies because that is a significant amount of money for the telcos. Vi will be able to invest more in its networks. Further, this places the telcos in a good position just before the arrival of 5G era in India. All of them including Vodafone Idea, Bharti Airtel, and Reliance Jio will be able to compete fairly and with almost the same advantages. This is even good news for the lenders who are largely exposed to Vodafone Idea (Vi) with Bank Guarantees (BGs) to the DoT. Bharti Airtel Will Opt for MoratoriumMany were questioning if Airtel would go for the moratorium benefit since it involves a significant amount of interest. But Sunil Bharti Mittal, Chairman of Bharti Enterprises, cleared it for us when he said Airtel will go for the moratorium of payments. Mittal further said that Airtel will be looking at the rules and policies around the government taking a token stake in the company by converting the interest dues accrued over time into equity. The government is expected to come out with the rules regarding this very soon.
Tata Sky Broadband 1 Gbps Plan Is Quite Pocket Friendly Posted: 16 Sep 2021 06:39 PM PDT Tata Sky Broadband offers pretty decent internet plans to the customers. If you are someone who is looking to purchase a 1 Gbps broadband plan, you must look at the offering from Tata Sky Broadband. The reason is the affordability that Tata Sky Broadband offers to the users. One great thing about the company is the kind of service it offers. Tata Sky Broadband has been known for offering consistent and quality services. Anyway, coming back to the 1 Gbps plan from the company, here is everything you should know about it. Tata Sky Broadband 1 Gbps Plan DetailsTata Sky Broadband offers users a 1 Gbps plan for Rs 3,600 per month. It is one of the most affordable gigabit-speed plans in India. The company uses fiber technology to deliver such high speed to the users. Note that the broadband services of Tata Sky are not present in every part of the country, so you might not be able to purchase the plans from the company. Regardless, if you are looking for a 1 Gbps broadband plan from Tata Sky, here are more reasons why it is a good choice for you. The company offers. 3.3TB or 3,300GB fair usage policy (FUP) data for the month. The company has mentioned that users will get 450 Mbps of speed on Wi-Fi, and with LAN cable will receive a 900 Mbps plan. If the end device can support a 5 GHz network and the user has a router that comes with dual-band connectivity, he/she will be able to get 1 Gbps speed. Tata Sky Broadband also offers users a free landline connection. But for consuming the services, users will have to purchase the telephone from a third party; the company will only provide the users with a line. Users won't have to pay any security deposit for buying the plan, even if they are purchasing it for one month. The company won't even charge anything for the installation of the connection. Further, users get uniform upload and download speeds. Tata Sky Broadband promises users a 99.9% uptime and a highly secure network. Even the dual-band router is provided by Tata Sky Broadband without any additional cost. In comparison, this broadband plan from Tata Sky is very cheap than what JioFiber and Airtel Xstream Fiber offer to their customers. Both Airtel and Jio offer their 1 Gbps plan starting at Rs 3,999. But there's one major difference for why Airtel's and Jio's plans are better, and that is the additional over-the-top (OTT) benefits that users get.
