Realme GT Neo2 India Launch Confirmed By CEO

Realme GT Neo2 was unveiled in China a few days back as the sequel to the original Realme GT Neo. Within a few days of its global launch, the company appears to be in plans to launch this smartphone in India. We say so as the Realme India Head Madhav Sheth has confirmed that the Realme GT Neo2 will be launched in India. While Realme fans asked when the company intends to release the smartphone in India, the company’s executive revealed that he cannot confirm the exact launch date but it will make its way into India. A majority of fans suggest that the smartphone could be launched in early October. For the uninitiated, the Realme GT Neo was launched in India as the rebranded moniker Realme X7 Max. Eventually, we can expect the company to bring the Realme GT Neo2 to also be launched with another moniker in the Indian market.

Realme GT Neo2 Specifications

When it comes to the rumored specs, the Realme GT Neo2 arrives with a 6.62-inch FHD+ E4 AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate topped with Gorilla Glass 5 protection and DC dimming. To fuel its performance, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC teamed up with 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage space, at the most, powers the device. It runs Android 11-based on Realme UI 2.0 custom skin. It is powered by a 5000mAh battery with 65W fast-charging technology and houses an in-display fingerprint sensor. For imaging, the Realme GT Neo2 bestows a triple-camera setup at its rear with a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP secondary ultra-wide-angle lens with a 120-degree field of view, and a 2MP tertiary depth sensor. The punch-hole cutout at the front to house the 16MP selfie camera sensor. Connectivity features include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and USB Type-C port for charging.

Realme GT Neo2 was unveiled in China starting from around Rs 28,500 for the entry-level variant. In India, the Realme smartphone is believed to be priced around Rs 30,000 for the base variant. It is said to be launched in three variants – 8GB RAM + 128GB ROM, 8GB RAM + 256GB ROM and 12GB RAM + 256GB ROM.

Samsung was highly anticipated to launch a new 5G smartphone – the Samsung Galaxy M52 5G. In the meantime, the company has quietly launched the device in Poland. Also, it will have 128GB storage space along with up to 1TB of additional storage via a microSD card. Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is offering Bharat AirFibre customers a modem for a monthly rent of just Rs 249. There are two scenarios that can emerge for the company when it is giving the modem for rent. The customer premise could be in a radial distance of up to 3 kilometres or between 3 km to 5 km. BSNL will offer the modem for Rs 249 per month to customers living in the radial distance of up to 3 km and for Rs 299 per month to customers living in the radial distance of up to 5 km. Out of the Rs 249 in the first scenario, BSNL will take Rs 35 leaving Rs 214 for the partner and Rs 50 in the second scenario, leaving Rs 249 for the partner.

Talking about the design of the Samsung Galaxy S22+, the smartphone appears to flaunt a punch-hole camera at the top of the display and have slim bezels. The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has said that SIM cards should not be issued to minors in India. This means that any person under the age of 18 cannot purchase SIM cards from any of the telecom operators in the country. However, there is more to it than meets the eye. A telecom operator can't simply sell a new SIM card to any person even above 18 years of age. Selling a SIM card to a minor or an ineligible person will be an illegal activity by the telecom operator. Here's everything you should know about this.

SIM Cards to be Issued After CAF Form is Filled

For getting a new SIM card, a person has to fill a Customer Acquisition Form (CAF). This form is actually a contract between a customer and the telecom service provider (TSP). This form specifically states some terms and conditions which should be met by both the TSP and the customer. Since CAF is a contract between the customer and the TSP, it is governed by the Indian Contract Law, 1872. The law specifically states that the person making the contract should be at least 18 years of age or 21 years in case the court has appointed him/her a legal guardian. Further, the person making the contract should be of sound mind and is making the contract with a sound mind as well. If not, the contract is not valid in the eyes of the court. Lastly, the person making the contract should not be disqualified to make legal contracts by any other law. DoT recently said that SIMs should not be given to minors in India. Since it is a contract between the TSP and the customer, only eligible adults can make the contract. So how many SIM cards a customer can purchase in his/her name? No one can purchase a maximum of 18 SIM cards in his/her name. Further, out of the 18 SIMs, only nine can be used for mobile calls, and the other nine is for M2M communications.
