Airtel Smartphone Offer Might be Better Than JioPhone Next

Posted: 30 Oct 2021 05:52 AM PDT

Airtel Smartphone Offer A couple of days back, Bharti Airtel came out with its smartphone offer. The telco's smartphone offer was looked down upon because people were expecting the JioPhone Next offer to be superior. However, after the JioPhone Next price (Rs 6,499) was revealed by the company, Airtel's smartphone offer doesn't look that bad. Focusing on the specifications, the JioPhone Next doesn't have anything superior or unique except for its operating system. The device comes running on the Pragati OS. As per the company, it is a highly optimised Android OS to upgrade the experience of using a smartphone for entry-level users. The only thing is, JioPhone Next's price is way too much when thought from a long-term perspective. If purchased on one of the EMI options, the customer will have to quite an amount and there's one more thing, the JioPhone Next is locked for Jio SIMs for data services.

Bharti Airtel Reduces Smartphone Cost

While Bharti Airtel users will also have to spend quite a good amount on the recharge plans to get the Rs 6,000 cashback, it still reduces the amount of the smartphone purchased by the users in the long run. Bharti Airtel is offering its cashback benefit on the purchase of hundreds of smartphones from several brands. This gives the customers more control over their spending power and which brand do they want to go with. With the JioPhone Next, firstly you need to spend quite a bit of money and then also go for a Jio SIM for data services. The second SIM card is effectively only for voice calling and SMS services. If you want to know the number of smartphones that are available under the cashback offer from Bharti Airtel and also want to understand the offer details in a much better manner, please click here. If the Pragati OS isn't that smooth, the JioPhone Next might not see any success.

Posted: 30 Oct 2021 02:34 AM PDT

JioPhone Next Unboxing Reliance Jio yesterday announced the pricing and key details of the JioPhone Next. The smartphone is supposed to motivate the 2G users to shift to 4G services with a 4G smartphone. JioPhone Next comes in a neat little rectangular box and you can see the partnership branding with Google at the bottom. The smartphone looks like a regular Android device which is not an issue. It has a plastic body at the rear. The speaker is at the back on the bottom while the rear camera layout is at the top center. You can see the Jio branding right below the rear camera. At the front, the JioPhone Next has a thick black plastic portion at the top and the bottom. The side bezels in comparison are thinner. The selfie camera sensor is at the top left sitting comfortably in the plastic portion of the body. You will find the power button and the volume rockers on the right. The blue colour choice from Jio is interesting. It looks very striking and will certainly be identifiable in a mix of smartphones. JioPhone Next First look Just from the top, the Pragati OS doesn't look too different from stock Android which is not surprising. A bunch of Jio and Google apps come pre-downloaded on the smartphone. The Google Assistant is very responsive, it will be worth looking at how it will understand complex commands though. The JioPhone Next so far looks like a decent entry-level smartphone. From its price, yes, it is not the kind of affordable device that everyone was expecting, but it will be able to give some competition to the Chinese brands. At least, now Indians will have one strong option in the entry-level segment which is a made-in-India device.

Why Does MacBook Doesn’t Support Touchscreen And FaceID, Apple Explains

Posted: 30 Oct 2021 01:31 AM PDT

Apple MacBook Pro Earlier in October, the Cupertino tech giant Apple launched a couple of new MacBook Pro models with its powerful processors. While the processor and other features are the notable highlights of these devices, all eyes are on the notch that is seen on the display of the MacBook Pro. There were speculations if the notch was meant for FaceID but it wasn’t the case. Now, Apple has explained why it doesn’t offer FaceID on its laptop lineup.

Apple Clears Doubts About MacBook

The VP of Mac and iPad product marketing at Apple, Tom Boger, in an interview with The Wall Street Journal, stated that Touch ID is more convenient on a laptop than FaceID as the users’ hands are already on the keyboard. Initially, Apple introduced FaceID with its tenth-anniversary edition, the iPhone X that went official in 2017. This was when the notch was also introduced for the first time. Another major MacBook criticism that is put forward by users and experts is the absence of a touchscreen on these laptops. There are many Windows PC models from brands such as HP, Dell, Lenovo and others that feature a touchscreen panel. Also, the affordable Chromebooks out there too come with such a display. However, Apple has been avoiding the idea of incorporating a touchscreen display on its laptops. An executive detailed that the main reason for this is the iPad. As per the vice president of hardware engineering, John Ternus’ statement to The Wall Street, the company makes the iPad, which is the best touch computer optimised for the purpose. Also, he added that the MacBooks are optimised for indirect input. He added that they do not want to change this and there is no reason for the change. Notably, the iPad Pro, which is equipped with the M1 chipset is touted to be much faster than many Windows PCs out there. Also, the iPad Pro comes with FaceID and lets users add a separate Magic Keyboard but this misses out on the TouchID. Microsoft and Intel have taken a dig against Apple as its Macs miss out on the touchscreen panel. Probably, the absence of a notch on the MacBooks could be the next target.

WhatsApp Is Offering Rs 51 Benefit on UPI Payments to Indians

Posted: 30 Oct 2021 12:04 AM PDT

WhatsApp Payments WhatsApp introduced its UPI payment service in India late last year, which lets users send money to their contacts directly via the messaging platform. Since then, the company appears to be on the quench to add more users to its payments service as it faces a stiff competition against the likes of the other well-established UPI services such as Google Pay, PhonePe and Paytm among others. To tackle the strong competition out there in this segment, WhatsApp has introduced the cashback program that rewards users who make payments via this app with a cashback of Rs 51. Notably, this cashback offer is not new to the UPI payment services in the country. Already, Google Pay earned its position with this cashback scheme and scratch cards option in the country. Now, it looks like WhatsApp is taking the same path to turn into a successful payment app.

How To Get Rs 51 Cashback On WhatsApp

The latest WhatsApp Android beta version has stated showing a banner at the top of the chat window. This banner displays a message reading, "Give cash, get Rs 51 back". Notably, the Rs 51 cashback is assured to all users who send money to their contacts. What's interesting is that there is no limit on the money users want to transfer to get the lucrative cashback. The only catch is that one WhatsApp account can get the cashback only five times, which accounts to Rs 255 cashback. It is also possible for users to make a payment of a meagre Re 1 to five contacts on WhatsApp and get a cashback of Rs 255 for all the transactions. Once the payment is successful, the cashback will be credited to the user's account. As of now, there is no word regarding how long this cashback program will last for WhatsApp users. If you want to earn the cashback, then use this offer right away. If you are new to WhatsApp Payments, you need to just open the chat window of the contact you wish to transfer money to. Now, click on the Rupee icon next to the Attachment icon. Key in your bank details, enter the amount you wish to transfer and click on Enter. Type your UPI PIN and make the payment. You will get a confirmation message once the transaction is over.

Posted: 29 Oct 2021 06:33 PM PDT

Vodafone Idea Vodafone Idea (Vi) has been in the news for quite a bit of time. Despite offering some of the best prepaid plans in the Indian market, the telco is least likely to be the top operator in the country any time soon. Vodafone Idea has network gaps that it needs to cover across the nation. It is interesting to note that half of the telco's subscribers live in rural India. This means that Vodafone Idea might be one of the top choices for people living outside urban city areas. Today, we are going to be looking at some of the best-prepaid plans offered by Vodafone Idea under Rs 500.

Vodafone Idea Prepaid Plans You Can Buy Under Rs 500
