| 5G Network Rollout Expected Time Frame in India Posted: 04 Oct 2021 11:51 AM PDT 5G networks in India will only roll out once the telcos have got everything they need. This includes the 5G spectrum along with the equipment from the vendors to upgrade their networks. The private operators have often said that their networks are 5G ready. All they need is the spectrum from the government and just have to complete their testing to ensure that their networks are ready to manage the load and the use-cases that emerge in the future. But it isn't that simple also. There are a lot of challenges that the telcos and the government needs to address before the first 5G network in India could be made live. 5G Networks Will Go Live in India Next Year's Q2 Most ProbablyIf things go according to the plan of the telcos and the telecom department, Indians should be able to see the first live 5G network in India by Q2 of 2022. But the challenges that lie ahead might push the expected rollout period of the 5G networks much ahead. The first thing that's still unclear is whether India is going for 5G or 5Gi. These are two standards developed by the 3GPP and TSDSI. Further, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) is yet to come out with new price recommendations for the 5G spectrum. If there's a delay from TRAI's side, it would impact the spectrum auctions date which will mean the telcos and India will have to wait further before 5G networks could go live in India. There's no clarity on which telco will be the first to launch 5G networks in India. All the private operators are currently testing their 5G networks in India and have achieved tremendous results. More about the 5G spectrum auctions and which standard will India go ahead with will become clear as months pass by. As for now, the next thing that everyone is waiting for is the TRAI to come out with fresh price recommendations for the spectrum. |

| OnePlus 10 Pro Might Borrow This Feature from Oppo Posted: 04 Oct 2021 08:35 AM PDT OnePlus 10 Pro is expected to launch next year. The smartphone might feature a 5x periscope zoom lens. OnePlus might borrow this 5x periscope zoom lens from Oppo. The OnePlus 10 series is also expected to feature OnePus 10, OnePlus 10 Pro, and OnePlus 10R. After OnePlus and Oppo announced their merger, this doesn't seem a far off guess or assumption. Even the software that both companies are going to roll out for their future smartphones will have a lot of similarities. Both OnePlus and Oppo have anyway shared resources internally for many years, now they will be doing so more openly. OnePlus 10 Pro Camera SpecificationsOnePlus 10 Pro camera specifications have been tipped. The tip has been shared by Mukul Sharma, a famous Indian tipster who was quoting another famous tipster Panda who claimed that the OnePlus 10 Pro is expected to come with a periscope lens. The periscope sensor is expected to come with 5x optical zoom. It is worth noting that no other OnePlus smartphone has a periscope lens. The Hasselblad partnership might help the company come out with impressive cameras. With the OnePlus 9 series, the company didn't get much time with Hasselblad to come out with a camera that makes a difference. But since enough time has passed, with the OnePlus 10 series, the cameras might be much better. But this is not something new for Oppo. There are a lot of Oppo phones with a periscope lens. The OnePlus 10 series would be surely something to look forward to. There are a lot of expectations from the OnePlus 10 series smartphones. This is because the OnePlus 9 series devices didn't come with the kind of camera that was expected from it. Hopefully, with the OnePlus 10 series, things change for good and OnePlus earns back its sort of lost reputation. There's just been a lot going on with the company, especially with the OnePlus Nord 2 series. |
| Should You Upgrade To Windows 11: Here’s What You Need To Know Posted: 04 Oct 2021 06:37 AM PDT In August, Microsoft announced the next-generation OS, Windows 11. Now, the update will start rolling out to supported devices from tomorrow. However, it is still in the early stages and there could be some glitches faced by those who adapt to it early. This might make you confused if you have to upgrade to Windows 11 on the day one or not. In that case, here we give some clarity on the same. Windows 11 is touted to be the most secure operating system from Microsoft for PCs. It comes with elements such as virtualisation-based security (VBS). This feature is one of the key aspects of the OS but it is speculated to reduce the performance of the system, a catch that especially gamers should be worried about. Windows 11 For GamersAs per a report by PC Gamer, gaming enthusiasts might see a decline in the performance of their system by 25 percent, which will leave an impact on the frame rates. However, it is said that this will be a concern only on the pre-built PCs that will be shipped with Windows 11 OS. The older PCs that are upgraded from Windows 10 Home or Windows 10 Pro to Windows 11 are likely to have this VBS feature disabled by default and it will not decline the gaming performance, it adds. The report notes that while the VBS feature is not needed when upgrading to Windows 11, it is believed that the security benefits offered by this feature are essential. Also, PCs running Windows 11 can meet the same security the DoD depends on only when the devices have the minimum system requirements. This was detailed in an earlier post that explains the TPM 2.0 requirement for the latest generation Windows 11 OS.What If You Are Not Gaming? You might think of what if you do not play games, then you need to consider that Windows 11 offers some nice-to-have features and visual updates as compared to Windows 10. These updates could be many crucial features for the average user. If your PC is running Windows 10 currently, then you may not be a great reason to upgrade your Windows 11. Notably, Windows 10 is rich in features and will be backed by Security Updates until 2025, thereby giving you a lot of time to upgrade to Windows 11. |

While there are many prepaid plans of the company that offer bonus data, but not all of them are very pocket friendly. This plan that we are talking about also comes with a free over-the-top (OTT) benefit from the company. None of the other companies, including Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), Bharti Airtel, or Reliance Jio, offers any bonus data with their affordable prepaid plans. Let's see the plan that we are talking about. Vodafone Idea Affordable Prepaid Plan That Offers 2GB Bonus DataVodafone Idea is offering 2GB bonus data with its Rs 219 prepaid plan. Note that this plan will only offer the promised bonus data if the user recharges directly through the website or the mobile application of the company. There's no bonus data offered to the users if they go for the recharge from a third-party company's website or mobile application. Vodafone Idea has termed the offer as "app/web exclusive". This plan also offers unlimited voice calling along with 100 SMS/day. It is not a plan for medium-term or long-term users. Users get 1GB of daily data with this plan. So the total amount of data that this plan will offer is 28GB without the web/app exclusive offer. With the 2GB bonus data, users will get 30GB of data. The over-the-top (OTT) benefit promised with the plan is of Vi Movies & TV. For the unaware, Vi Movies & TV app allows users to stream live TV, news, movies and original shows directly on the mobile app of the Vi now. If you are looking for a short-term pack, then you can consider this prepaid plan from Vodafone Idea. Sure, you can get a more pocket-friendly 1GB daily data pack from Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel, but the thing is, you won't get the same validity. Jio and Airtel both offer their 1GB daily data packs starting with validities of 24 days. Vodafone Idea offers its 1GB daily data pack for 28 days, meaning you won't have to recharge for almost a month, and you also get 30GB of total data (2GB bonus data included) if you recharge through the official website or mobile app of the company. Jio and Airtel offer users 1.5GB daily data packs with 28 days validity, but they are not the most pocket friendly. Thus, this plan from Vodafone Idea becomes a top priority for users who are looking for a 1GB daily data plan for 28 days. |
