Google Chrome’s Newly Released Beta Version Gets Important Privacy Update

The past week marked the launch of Chrome 96 by Google and the company also released the Chrome 97 Beta version along with the former. The newly released Beta version has seen an upgrade in Privacy and Security settings in regards to the user data a particular site can hold. This new update basically allows user to delete all their personal data from a certain website. This gives users much better control over their privacy while surfing on Google Chrome.

Better Control Over Privacy

For the users who want to delete their personal data from a particular website, all they need to do is go to the Settings option on Chrome and then click on Privacy and Security following which they need to go to Site Settings. Under Site Settings, they need to click on View permission and data stored across files which will navigate them to chrome://settings/content/all. The company has also informed that it is going to remove the controls that are more granular. Developers would still be able to delete cookies that they can access from DevTools. Users with this access can remove the cookies by going to the Settings option and then clicking on the Privacy and Security option. Under which they can go to Cookies and other site data and then see all cookies and site data. Google's Theodore Olsauskas-Warren in a blog post said that the move to simplify the granular controls from the settings option in Chrome will create a convenient experience for the users. He added that the ability to get rid of individual cookies can affect the user's experience on the website as it may temper the implementation details of the site. He further said that even users with knowledge and capability are at risk of compromising their privacy protection in case they misunderstand the purpose of the cookie. Users browsing on the M48 or the earlier version of Chrome will no longer be able to sync their data with the upcoming update on the browser. The sync feature helps users to access their stored data when they browse on multiple devices using their Google account.

September of 2021 marked the launch of the Apple Watch Series 7 about which the predictions were made that the wearable would have a boxy design just like the iPhone 12. However, as it turned out the rumors were false and the Apple Watch Series 7 had exactly the same body design as its prequel except for the fact that the screen size was changed to 45mm from the earlier version's 41mm. Now for the upcoming Apple Watch Series 8, sources were expecting that this time around the device will have a boxy design and the latest reports suggest that tipsters might be wrong once again.

The Details on Apple Watch Series 8

The latest renders were released by LeaksApplePro using Computer-Aided Technology or CAD and images have also leaked which suggests that Apple Watch Series 8 might have the same design recycled as its previous version apart from a few minimal changes. One change that might may happen in the upcoming version is the speaker grille. The rendered images suggest that the speaker grille might be split into two instead of one longer version and the two speaker grills might be on top of each other. Even though these renders are just generated images and there's no certainty on its accuracy, it won't be a surprise if Apple doesn't incorporate the flat-edged design on its wearable instead of the curved design, whether on the upcoming design or in any designs in the future. Talking about the other aspects of the Apple Watch Series 8, it is expected that the display size of the device may get increased once again just as in previous versions. Another major upgrade that the watch may witness in terms of its functional capacity is the addition of a blood glucose monitor which will give users the option to keep a check on the blood glucose levels in the body. If this sensor upgrade is indeed included in the upcoming watch from Apple, it will act as a boon to diabetic patients around the world who currently rely on invasive methods to measure their blood-sugar levels and these methods are both costly and painful. WhatsApp Testing ‘Reaction Notifications’ Feature on Android Beta

This new update will be available via the Google Play Store Beta Program. To get this new feature, you need to have the WhatsApp Android beta version 2.21.24.8. WhatsApp Beta Gets Reaction Notifications

Already, you might have come across a report that WhatsApp is prepping a new feature called Message Reactions. Also, they enabled this feature wrongly and immediately removed it. Now, this feature is seen in the WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.21.22.7 update. Given that this feature is available as a part of the beta version, you can test it even if the feature is not available for all. Previously, WhatsApp for iOS was working on a way to manage reaction notifications. Now, it looks like the company is also in plans to bring this feature to Android as it is testing the feature on beta and might be rolled out via a future update, claims a WABetaInfo. Of late, we are coming across reports regarding an upcoming Vivo smartphone – the Vivo V23e 5G. Recently, the company launched the 4G variant of the device called Vivo V21e. This smartphone is all set to be launched in Thailand on November 23, 2021. While we are a few days ahead of the launch of this smartphone, the Vivo V23e 5G has been spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking database. As per a report by 91Mobiles, the Vivo V21e 5G benchmark listing has revealed a few details such as the Android version, chipset and RAM. Besides this, the official Thailand Vivo website has hosted a dedicated microsite to show off the design of the upcoming smartphone and some of its specs.

Vivo V23e 5G Geekbench Listing

As per the leaked specs of the Vivo V23e 5g that was spotted on the Geekbench listing, the upcoming smartphone 5G comes with the model number V2126. From the listing, the device will make use of an MT6833V/PNZA, which is tipped to be the MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC that supports 5G connectivity. This processor is said to be teamed up with 8GB of RAM but we can expect other storage options as well. From the Geekbench listing, it is clear that the Vivo V23e 5G smartphone comes with a score of 471 points and 1551 points in the single-core and multi-core tests. It is seen to be launched with Android 11 topped with FuntouchOS skin out-of-the-box.

Vivo V23e 5G Design Leaks

Going by the listing on the website, the Vivo V23e 5G is tipped to arrive with a triple-camera setup at the rear with a 44MP primary sensor within the rectangular camera setup at the left corner and a waterdrop notch to provide room for the selfie camera sensor. This camera module is likely to comprise an ultra-wide-angle lens and a macro sensor. As per the claim from a tipster, the upcoming Vivo smartphone in question is believed to be launched with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage space. We can expect the device to be priced competitively as its other offerings. Given that it will be launched next week, we can get further details at the event.

You can purchase these plans for a minimum of three months that will cost you Rs 2247, Rs 2697, and Rs 2997. All the plans mentioned here come with unlimited data, but there's a fair-usage-policy (FUP) limit that's unknown at the moment.

Excitel Noteworthy Broadband Plans

Excitel offers users 100 Mbps, 200 Mbps, and 300 Mbps speed plans. These plans cost Rs 699, Rs 799, and Rs 899 if purchased on a monthly basis. There is no FUP limit, and all the plans come with truly unlimited data. Customers will have to pay a Rs 2,000 security deposit which is refundable as well for the ONT equipment provided by the company. Note that neither of the plans mentioned above includes GST in their price. So at the time of the final billing, you will have to pay an additional 18% GST on the plan's price. Looking at the cost to benefits ratio, it is very clear that Airtel and Excitel are leading the way. Specially Excitel as its plans are the most affordable on the list and also offer OTT benefits to the users if they go for the 300 Mbps plan for three months at least. However, Excitel isn't present everywhere, while Airtel is present in a wide number of cities and states. If you don't have Excitel present in your area, Airtel could be a top choice for you.
