– By Pramod Gummaraj, CEO of Aprecomm Pandemic not only boosted digital transformation but also widened its scope. Today's digital workspaces are a result of it. Whether an employee is working from home or office, the actual work in today's business environment happens in the digital space. With businesses having turned towards digital workspaces, their dependence on the internet has increased exponentially. As a result, the number of internet users and the need for connectivity both at households and enterprises have skyrocketed. If we look at the statistics, connectivity saw a growth of 2% annually between 2015 to 2019. Why Does Network Intelligence Matter for Digital Workspace?Businesses are now collaborating globally with their employees working from different regions. Research shows a direct correlation between positive user experiences, talent retention and business outcomes. This has spurred the need for businesses to ensure ubiquitous and uninterrupted connectivity. With this, it would not be an exaggeration to say that connectivity is now turning into a strategic asset for businesses. Network intelligence augments the visibility of complex networks to ensure users can access uninterrupted connectivity by measuring experience troubleshooting networks with end-to-end insights through machine reasoning and machine learning. Businesses can thus ensure that the users access digital workspaces securely with a seamless and low latency network. Improving Wi-Fi ReliabilityNetwork intelligence helps evaluate user experience by measuring network performance, user experience, and understanding if the user is happy using the network. It becomes easy to get to the root cause with simplified debugging and analysis of huge log dumps with network intelligence. Getting actionable insights from large sets of unstructured data helps identify top issues to be addressed immediately. Automate Network TroubleshootingIntegrating AI which is artificial intelligence in networks allows a transition to proactive methods from traditional reactive methods Automating the method of finding a problem, diagnosing it and prescribing a solution helps in the reduction of human interventions. Through this approach, we can expect maximum uptime of the network as the solution to the problem is identified and accelerated. Reducing Cost and Time for Enterprises and VendorsNetwork intelligence helps businesses cut down costs and time for vendors and enterprises by optimising the issue resolution process. Artificial intelligence-powered networks would help reduce the task of dealing with the entire process of complaining to a great extent. | Google Pixel Watch Could Operate Via Gestures Using Skin Interface Feature Posted: 08 Mar 2022 03:08 AM PST
Google has been rumoured to expand to the consumer electronics portfolio by introducing a smartwatch of its own. With the way Google has been lining up its products, it is expected that the wearable will be called the Google Pixel Watch. While not much is known about the smartwatch from Google, a new report suggests that the company is working on introducing something called “sensor fusion” which is a combination of sensors that can recognise gestures made outside the body of the watch itself. Details on the New FeatureThe report comes in from the Dutch technology website which states that the said Google Pixel Watch has been in the works for quite some time now. The report also falls in line with a patent that Google filed with the World Intellectual Property Organisation back in 2020, called 'Skin interface for wearables: Sensor fusion to improve signal quality. With the filed patent, Google intended to use patches of the human skin as gesture recognition pads of sorts. The new report now talks about something called Sensor Fusion. The sensor fusion will apparently use an accelerometer combined with numerous other sensors to recognise a designated area of the skin around the smartwatch. This would mean, for example, that Google Pixel Watch will be capable of recognizing patches of the wrist both before and ahead of the watch itself. The said patches will then be able to recognise various gestures that would then be picked up by the watch's software. The software would then respond to the commands accordingly. This could ultimately mean that no buttons are required on the Google Pixel Watch and all the functions can be managed via the gestures themselves. The smartwatch has been in the works for a long time now and yet no trustable render is available as of yet. It is likely that Google might bring something really innovative with its Google Pixel Watch. Although a possible render shared by Jon Prosser suggests that there will be at least one button on the wearable and it will not completely rely on the gestures. However, we can only wait to find out if Google introduces the "skin interface" that could make the smartwatch stand out in the market. |
| Apple May Launch a New Green Colour iPhone 13 at the Spring Event Posted: 08 Mar 2022 01:56 AM PST
Apple's spring event is all set to commence today that is March 8 at 11:30 PM IST and the Cupertino-based tech giant is gearing up to introduce multiple products expanding its portfolio. The event is expected to witness the launch of a new affordable iPhone along with a new iPad Air, a new Mac mini, a Mac Studio, a Studio Display, and a MacBook Air. But a new report suggests that Apple might also launch a new iPhone 13 model at the event. Let's find out more. Details on the New iPhone 13 VariantFor those getting confused, iPhone 13 was launched in 2021 and the company is reportedly planning to launch its green colour variant. According to YouTube content creator Luke Miani, iPhone 13 is all set to receive a green colour option at the Apple Spring Event. The green colour variant of the iPhone 13 looks appealing in the renders, but you will notice a striking difference in the shade. The company had also launched a green colour shade for its previous iteration which was the iPhone 12. However, the iPhone 13 is expected to arrive with a darker green shade unlike iPhone 12 which came with a light green colour shade. Based on the renders shared by Miani, the colour looks almost as the leaves do. To be specific, the colour shade for iPhone 13 is somewhere between the Mint colour of the iPhone 12 and the Midnight Green colour of the iPhone 11 Pro. iPhone 13 was launched last year and has five colour options – Red, Starlight, Midnight, Blue, and Pink. It is most likely that the green colour variant will have the same specs as the original iPhone 13. The iPhone 13 comes with a 6.1-inch display and is powered by an A15 Bionic processor with 5G support. The smartphone comes with a dual 12-megapixel camera system on the back and a 12-megapixel TrueDepth camera with Face ID, and MagSafe wireless charging. |

It hasn't been long since the smartphone made its debut in the country. The Redmi Note 11 launched in early February this year and arrived in three memory configurations starting at Rs 13,499. | UPI Services Arrive for Feature Phone Users as Well Posted: 08 Mar 2022 12:26 AM PST ![]() On March 8, 2022, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) announced Unified Payments Interface (UPI) services for features phone users as well. Until now, UPI payments were only being accessed by smartphone users. To facilitate the payments system for feature phone users, RBI has launched UPI123Pay. Along with this, RBI launched DigiSaathi, a 24×7 helpline for making digital payments. What Can UPI123Pay Do?UPI123Pay is made for people owning feature phones to make offline money transactions. For now, UPI for feature phones will be able to do everything it can in the smartphones except scan and pay. But the work is ongoing for that as well, and in the future, even scan and pay should be available for people with feature phones. Using UPI123Pay, people living in the rural areas of India who don't own a smartphone will be able to make online payments as well. This is a good initiative from RBI and one that will propel the growth of Digital India. UPI was introduced back in 2016, and since then, it has grown a lot. Until now, it remained a system for smartphones only. But with UPI123Pay, feature phone users will be able to make payments offline. This will add to the transaction volume of UPI and will help with RBI's vision of making India a less-cash economy. How Will UPI123Pay Work?First of all, every feature phone user will have to link his/her bank account with the feature phone for using the UPI123Pay facility. For now, the service is only available in Hindi or in English. RBI said that it is working on introducing more language support soon. The transactions for UPI123Pay won't need an active internet or data connection with the device. More details about how the service will work step by step are unknown at the moment. As soon as the details are out, we will update the website with a new 'Step-by-Step' guide for the same. |
| Samsung Galaxy F23 5G Might Not be Worth It Posted: 07 Mar 2022 11:31 PM PST
Samsung has just launched the Galaxy F23 5G for the Indian market. The smartphone looks impressive from afar but just might not be worth it. There is so much competition in delivering a good budget 5G smartphone today. The Galaxy F23 5G looks like an average smartphone from its design. It does have a big display and fast-charging support, but in comparison with what's available from the Chinese companies in the same price range, the Galaxy F23 5G looks like a fairly bad choice to go with. Samsung Galaxy F23 5G has Strong Display Specifications; check What Else is ThereSamsung Galaxy F23 5G comes with a 6.6-inch FHD+ Infinity-U Display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top for protection. The display of the smartphone can support 120Hz refresh rate, and the device will run on One UI 4.1 based on Android 12 out of the box. Samsung said that it would provide two years of major OS updates for the smartphone and four years of security updates, which is standard. The Galaxy F23 5G is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G SoC coupled with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Samsung is also allowing 6GB of virtual RAM expansion. In the camera department, the Galaxy F23 5G has a triple-camera setup at the rear with a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL JN1 primary sensor. The other two sensors are an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 2MP macro sensor. For selfies and video calling, the device comes with an 8MP sensor. Samsung said that this smartphone can support connectivity with up to 12 5G bands which is a decent thing. Users can expand the internal storage up to 1TB through an external SD card (there's a dedicated slot for the same). Samsung Galaxy F23 5G packs a 5000mAh battery with support for 25W fast-charging. Let's check the price of the smartphone. Samsung Galaxy F23 5G Price Starts at Rs 17,499 in IndiaSamsung Galaxy F23 5G will be available in two memory variants in India. The base variant will come with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage for Rs 17,499. Then there's a superior memory variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage for Rs 18,499. The device will be available in two colour variants — Forest Green and Aqua Blue. It will go on the first sale via Flipkart and Samsung's official online website on March 16, at 12 PM (noon). There are launch offers available with the device too. Users paying through an ICICI Bank card will get an instant discount of Rs 1,000. Not just this, but they will also get two months of free YouTube Premium. Further, note that for now, the device will be available at an introductory price of Rs 15,999 for the base variant and Rs 16,999 for the superior memory variant. Should You Buy?If you are thinking of purchasing this smartphone right away, you should wait for a little until the reviews kick in. Do your proper research because, at this price range, a lot of smartphones are available from the Chinese companies, which are 5G supportive and offer better specifications. The Redmi Note 11T 5G, iQoo Z3, and Realme 9 Pro 5G are some of the top alternatives for this device from Samsung. Samsung has failed to pack in at least 33W fast-charging, which is a very big disappointment. There are a few good things about the device as well, such as its display and the fact that it will run on One UI 4.1 out of the box. Regardless, the smarter choice would be to wait for a little before you make the purchase and see how the reviews of the smartphone are. |
